Facilitate program-level processes

• Organize and lead PI Planning: As an ART coach responsible for preparing, organizing, and facilitating the Planning Interval (PI) event, where the ART plans its work for the next 12 weeks.
• Coordinate events during the PI: Throughout the PI facilitate key ART events, including the ART Coach Sync (Scrum of Scrums), PO Sync, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops.
• Manage program calendar: Publish the PI calendar, which establishes the dates for iterations, PI planning, and other significant ART events.
• Support backlog refinement: Collaborate with Product and Solution Management to ensure the program backlog is properly refined and aligned with strategic goals.

Drive ART execution

• Help teams meet commitments: Support the teams to ensure they can meet their PI objectives and other commitments by providing guidance
• Remove impediments: Identify, escalate, and help resolve obstacles that block the progress of the ART and its teams.
• Manage risks and dependencies: The RTE works with teams to identify and manage program-level risks, using the ROAM technique, also address cross-team dependencies.
• Monitor program execution: Track the progress of the ART's features and overall PI objectives, using tools like the ART Kanban and flow metrics to assess health and progress.

Coaching and relentless improvement

• Coach the Lean-Agile mindset: Coach POs, teams and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Encourage collaboration: Create an environment of mutual respect and trust, fostering collaboration among teams and with stakeholders.

Stakeholder and Agile team coordination

• Act as a liaison: Facilitate necessary communication between the Agile teams, Product Management, stakeholders, and other interdependent ARTs.
• Ensure strategic alignment: Work with stakeholders to ensure that the ART's execution remains aligned with the overall strategic direction of the business (Domain Alignment event)
• Report program performance: Provide visibility into the ART's progress, risks, and health to all relevant stakeholders.
