• Prepare Basic & Detail Design: Develop conceptual designs for HVAC systems in marine vessels, considering factors such as ship size, layout, environmental conditions, and specific requirements.
• 3D Modeling: Utilize Autodesk Inventor software to create accurate and detailed 3D models of HVAC systems, ensuring proper integration with other ship systems and efficient space utilization.
• Prepare P&ID, SLD, BOM & Heat Load Calculations: Generate process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), single-line diagrams (SLD), Bill of Martial (BOM) and conduct heat load calculations to determine the heating and cooling requirements of various ship compartments.
• Material Code Creation and Entry in SAP: Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to create material codes for HVAC components and enter relevant information into the SAP system, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
• Verification of Installation Work: Conduct regular visits to ships under construction or retrofitting to verify that the installation of HVAC systems aligns with the approved design, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure all design modifications and deviations from initial plans are properly recorded.
• Compliance and Safety: Stay updated with relevant HVAC codes, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that designs adhere to safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and classification society requirements.
