To progress my shore-based work in the marine industry, preferably technical operations, QHSE, or in the Training sector, contribute towards the common goal of the organization as an individual as well as being a collaborative team member.

As a highly motivated and diligent maritime professional with a vast sailing experience over 19 years, I have gained extensive theoretical and practical experience carriage of Petroleum Goods such as Crude, Chemical and Products (DPP & CPP). As a CEO/Director and Senior Consultant, I have been at the forefront of maritime education. As a Chief Engineer, I was at the helm of implementing IMO Regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL and MLC. At sea, my duties have included managing emergencies, staff management, planned maintenance systems and implementing environment-based programmes. I am proud to have good record of efficiently operating the engine room and managing effectively Port, State and Flag state inspections, Having sailed on-board ships with crew from different nationalities, I have developed excellent communication and management skills for planning, co-ordinating and organizing work related activities. I have also gained proficiency in leadership and team building to achieve one common goal with limited resources. As a Chief Engineer, I was an integral part of the company in implementing all IMO regulations compiling several checklists for better preparation of the vessel for inspection. I have also carried out delivery voyages for second hand vessels for the company and was involved with Change of Flag procedures. Skilled in supervising and training crew member and with excellent communication skill and the ability to properly enforce marine regulations I have prepared training modules for third partied for Management and operation level Engineers Gained experience in online training of overseas student for professional and safety related training for marine engineer’s and deck officers.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the vessels allocated – Total 20 contracts as Chief Engineer which included a Suezmax tanker Aframax tanker, Oil/chemical, Product Tanker and container vessels on DPP & CPP trade worldwide.
  • Liaising with the Ship Operators and Owners for technical maintenance with optimum efficiency; inventory management; planned maintenance.
  • Overview of, and input into the vessel proposed voyages and cargo operations.
  • Ensured maximum availability and efficient operation of assigned vessels.
  • Vessel On Time Charter which included BP Shipping, Shell, Tsakos, Teekay, ENI, Jelico, MOL.
  • Ensuring assigned vessels are managed and operated in accordance with Industry, Flag State and Class requirements to ensure maximum operational readiness commensurate with safe operations.
  • Overview and assurance of the management of all vessel activities directly related to the safe operation of assigned vessels.
  • Monitor and ensure correct implementation of company’s operating practices on board assigned vessels, in accordance with the Safety Management System.
  • Manage performance, coach and mentor Engine and Deck Officers.
  • In close liaison with the Technical Superintendent of the vessels in the completion of the sea staff appraisals for Engine Staff.
  • Ensure assigned vessels are ready at all times for SIRE inspections.
  • Ensure all other vessel certification and surveys are in order.
  • In conjunction with Technical Superintendents, ensure the development of the annual maintenance plan, mooring equipment outfit, safety equipment.
  • Liaise with the vessel Technical Superintendents to prepare and review the all machinery of the dry dock specifications.
  • Ensure vessel is ready for Port, State and Flag State inspection with respect all statutory regulation of IMO and local regulation of calling ports.
  • Sailed as Superintendent to prepare First vessel of Company for MLC inspection in 2013 and assisted company in Food Safety and Galley Hygiene Operation manual.

  • Starting from the early employment rank as a Junior Engineer, I have gone through promotion and rank advancement as the Fourth Engineer /Third Engineer/ to the rank as the Second Engineer.
  • I was directly responsible monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of the ship's main propulsion plant, electrical power plant and auxiliary machinery system and as technical director of vessel main area of concern are effective cost cutting, pre purchase plan and quotation.

  • The work involved major plant shut down, maintenance and repair, overseeing work progress and re-commissioning of the plant during the ship dry docking period at dry-dock, China in September 2006.
