CAD Software: CATIA V5-6R2020 (VW GRC Lite )

Project Parts: Blende Unten FS-BFS, Ablage FS, Ausstroemer FS-BFS, Centerspeaker, Schleiszteil FS-BFS, Zentral Defroster, HUD, Zwissenstueck Defrost

• Leaded a team of 5 engineers to accomplish LHD and RHD 3D CAD B-Release as well as the drawings for the same confirming the specific VW standards
• Followed OUTGen process along with VALIDAT to deliver the data to the customer.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and refine product concepts.
• Addressed design challenges and evaluated alternative design models to meet project requirements.
• Various CAD tasks performed can be listed as creation of Closed Volume, Creation of B-Side features and its Powercopy, Deciding 3-2-1 principle for the part, style replacement, creating parting step in case of steel-steel matching.
• Responsibly delivered a clash-free, tooling feasible and assembly feasible data to the customer.

• Leading a team of 3 engineers to accomplish Strak release phase
• Performed style analysis for various parameters like graining, assembly feasibility, tooling feasibility, style quality, etc.
• Proposed style changes providing the sections as well as surfaces, also proposed direction of mold separation as well
• Various CAD tasks performed can be listed as creation of Closed Volume, Creation of B-Side features and its Powercopy, Deciding 3-2-1 principle for the part

Project Parts: Map pocket, Lower Door Trim

• Checking style, tooling feasibility of A- surface
• Creation of closed volume using master section
• Making the interfaces for the feature like welding cylinder, clip tower, screw boss and locator on environment part
• Creation of core and cavity separating parting line
• Done re-mastering or dump to parametric part
• Creation of close volume from the style A-surface by considering main tool direction, plastic defects

• CAD, Style analysis, tooling feasibility of A- surface
• Making closed volume of part A surface, B surface and C closed surface
• Making fully 3D parametric part with maintaining proper part history
• Create features like welding cylinder, snap, dog house, clip tower with slider & lifter as per feasible
• Creation of power copy
• Designing proper mounting & locating feature
• Analysis of part for tooling and manufacturing feasibility
• Elimination of plastic defects, like creating sink mark, warp age, shot short, weld line, trap to avoid etc
• Adding fixation considering RPS given by customer
• Draft and curvature analysis of style for given draft angle
• Creation of closed volume using master section
• Creation of core and cavity separating parting line
• Working knowledge in design methodologies, manufacturing and assembly feasibility of automotive interior trims
