As a Senior Engineer at Section-3, I oversee the day-to-day activities at Elevated section of length 8.027 km, including ramp and embankment formation from Hebbal to Yeswanthpur of the project. My responsibilities include supervising a team of junior staff, ensuring effective planning and execution of construction activities, and meeting key project targets within set timelines. Below are the key targets for this section of the project:
Site Preparation, all water and electric Utility inspection and diversion as per plan.
Project Targets and Key Deliverable
a) Completion of Working Piles (1000 Nos.)
Description: Complete the installation of 1200 working piles necessary for the foundation structure of the elevated section.
b) Completion of Test Piles (Including Vertical and Lateral Load Tests - 8 Nos.)
Description: Conduct and complete all test piles, including vertical and lateral load tests, to verify the design parameters and ensure structural integrity.
c) Completion of Pile Cap Foundations (250 Nos.)
Description: Finish the construction of 250 pile cap foundations that will form the base for the pier structures and other superstructures.
d) Completion of Pier Casting (250 Nos.) for Section-3
Description: Complete the casting of 250 piers, which will provide the structural support for the elevated section.
e) Completion of Pier Cap Erection (100 Nos.)
Description: Begin the erection of 100 pier caps that will provide the necessary support for the girder system above.
f) Completion of U-Girder Erection (200 Nos.)
Description: Initiate the erection of 200 U-girders for the elevated track, ensuring the structural integrity and alignment of the railway system.
As a senior engineer at Section 4 i have monitored construction work for RUB, minor bridges, major bridges
and embankment cutting work with safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
· Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of junior staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
· Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of all construction activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
As a Project Engineer for Reach-2 (Nagpur metro elevated corridor), I have successfully completed the Kasturchand Park Station and Gaddigodam Station, and handed them over to O&M as per SOD (schedule of dimensions) and NBC norms.
· As a Site In-charge I have made plan, monitor and execution of all activities in station piling, pile cap, Pier, Pier arm, pier arm stressing, I-girder Erection, Concourse slab, track slab, Platform slab. I have completed all Finishing activity (including blockwork, plastering, putty, painting, flooring, false Ceiling, fixation of Door, windows, Louvers, ACP, Glazing etc.)
· I have coordinated with interface team (system team: - E&M, signaling, telecom, traction lifts & escalator at every stage of work and handed over technical rooms & taking clearance for civil activities timely. Which provides smoothen & speed up of completion of work.
I have completed work at different level at station: -
· Street level Work:- At street level we have two side entry (LHS entry exit & RHS entry exit) On LHS entry exit we have done construction of water tank (two Domestic 22k litre capacity and two fire water tank 40k capacity ),Pump room ,Water proofing of lift pit ,water tank & stair case, escalator ,lift (street to concourse level) and on RHS entry is connecting Public development area to main station ,RHS entry exitincludes Lift
,staircase, escalator ,ramp (from street to concourse level).
· Concourse Level work: - At concourse level We have all technical Room (SER, SCR, UPS, TER,ASS ,Battery room) ,Ticket counter room, Paid/unpaid area, AFC gates .we have completed all finishing activity of all these area which includes Blockwork (light weight, solid weight), plastering(single/double coat) ,putty, painting (emulsion paint, water-proof paint), Flooring (granite ,granolithic ,vitrified tiles, false flooring ).Fixation of Doors (fire door, glass door ,MS door),windows ,Louvers ,ACP, Railing ,Glass-work.) Drainage system of station. we have constructed alpile, pile cap, Pier (2500*2000), Pier arm then post tensioning of pier arm after that I- girder erection on Pedestal(1200*1000*200mm) / elastomeric bearing(600*625*52mm)/Tar paper. After erection work we completed concourse slab and all rooms are come over there.
· Platform level work: - At Platform level we have completed all PEB work (which includes column, rafter, roof monitor, cable tray, Gutter etc) and Plumbing work (Toilets fixtures/connections, storm water line, rain water harvesting chamber, manhole, saucer drain etc)
Public Development Area: (total area 2,950 m²) We have executed the second-floor building in this area, which is connected to the main station through our right-side entry. PD area mainly includes Retaining wall, basement area, ramp, staircase, lift, water tank (1.2 lakh litre capacity), waterproofing work etc,
· My role is Senior Engineer for Reach 3 Viaduct Casting yard This consists of a 12km stretch of viaduct running from the North of Nagpur into the East of the City. These works include set-up of casting yard, batching plant and casting of precast segment & I-girder casting.
· I have monitored all the related activity of precast segment (dimension length 3 m, width 8.5 m including
parapet wall) and casted 3500 no’s segment & 150 precast I-girder within 18-month time -span Technical feed-back for segment casting.
· Set-up precast yard.
· Mould Erection as per drawing.
· Dis-metalling & Re-installation of workshop warehouse & store.
· Rebar cage inspection as per latest revision of drawing.
· Pier Mould & Typical mould preparation for inspection by client for casting in proper time cycle.
· De-moulding after lifting strength for next span.
Segment stacking in the yard as per the designed layout.
· Segment shifting to site for Launching according to program.
· Segment casting (8 or 10) everyday as per program.
· Supervision of day-to-day activities of contractors in accordance with the contract drawing and technical specifications
· Carry out field checking and verification of activities and report to Resident Engineers
· Verify and examine interim payment certificates received from contractors
· Equip self with information on Safeguards & Safety from the engineers visiting site from the Head Office
· Assist review compliance of documentation and advance actions for handing over site and advise on setting the commencement date
· My role is Project Engineer for line 6 Viaduct. This consists of a 10km stretch of viaduct running from the North of Riyadh into the East of the City & 5 km under-ground work. These works include extensive Piling works as well as heavy civil works (excavations), concrete and grouting, complex lifting operations, extensive steel works, and pre-cast beam installation.
· Site Preparation, all water and electric Utility inspection and diversion as per plan.
· Execution as 10 Km long viaduct preparation of site Execution of 400 numbers of Pilling of diameter 2.5m
and depth 32m (dry & bentonite pile, wet pile), monitoring, planning & casting of 100 number pile cap & pier and pier head with handing over to client for erection work. Execution at elevated station 6E1–As a project engineer we have made planning, monitoring and execution of all activities in station (76 number dry piling, with 10 number pile cap & column.) Execution of concourse slab & track slab within the time limit).
Execution of the basement area at station 6E1-215, shoring pile at the basement area, excavation of the whole basement area with an excavation plan, erection of a tower crane, thorough waterproofing on the vertical wall and raft (by EPDM), and then construction of the base and roof slab. With connection of RCC Wall, Block Work wall, Stair Work, lift, all type of machinery and DG foundation, water tank.
o Erection work: - Installation/Erection of Pre-cast beams of span 36m of weight 170 ton installed on elastomeric Bearing, and post tension work between the two beams at every span.
Utility & diversion: -All RCC infrastructures regarding tunnel, station, utility diversion.
To supervise all the subcontractors regarding utilities diversion, execution of all underground structures, tunnels, and waterproofing, etc.
o Ensuring whether the work is proceeding with respect to Work Method Statement and schedule.
· I have monitored all the related activity of precast U-girder (dimension length 26 m, width 3.8 m) stressing and destressing and casted 800 no’s U-girder & 150 precast I-girder within 18-month time -span
· Technical feed-back for U-girder casting.
· Set-up of precast yard.
· Mould Erection as per drawing.
· Dis-metalling & Re-installation of workshop warehouse & store.
· Rebar cage inspection as per latest revision of drawing.
· Pier Mould & Typical mould preparation for inspection by client for casting in proper time cycle.
· De-moulding after lifting strength for next span.
· U-girder Stacking in yard as per designed lay-out.
· U-girder shifting to site for Launching according to program.
· U-girder casting (2 nos ) everyday as per program.
· Execution as 14 Km long viaduct preparation of site 600 numbers piles (dry & bentonite pile), monitoring, planning & casting of 250 number pile cap & pier with handing over to client forerection work.
