Providing technical support on Commvault backup environment such as troubleshooting of backup related issues, backup restore, configuring new clients & sub clients, creating groups, storage policies, schedules, replication and live sync configuration
As a Backup and storage engineer we have to monitor disk usage capacity, License usage, and performing health checks on daily basis
We have to apply commvault service pack on Commserve & Media agent servers
We have to manage the backup infrastructure to ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLA) base Service Request, Incident & Change tickets, regression planned changes to the Backup infrastructure within agreed outage period
Troubleshooting storage device like Disk/Tape Library/ battery related issue
Providing technical support for Commvault Backup Environment, Veeam Backup for M365 and EMC Isilon Storage, Pure storage, Hitachi HNAS, HCP storage device
Served as a backup expert, providing multi-level support and troubleshooting backup issues, configuring clients, sub-clients, Media Agent, groups, storage policies, and schedules, and collaborating with vendors to resolve software, hardware, and system performance issues, ensuring prompt incident resolution and optimal backup operations
Reporting and Documentation of Generate regular reports on backup status, storage utilization, and performance
We are responsible to maintain and update documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Compliance and Security to Ensure data protection policies are align with compliance standards and regulations
We are Implementing and managing encryption and secure data transfer mechanisms
Taking Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly Backup of data using Commvault Backup and performing monthly test restores
Applying Commvault Service Packs and performing Windows patching on servers
Managing backup and storage infrastructure to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for requests, incidents, and changes, while also monitoring disk capacity, licenses, and performing daily health checks to ensure optimal storage and backup system performance
Performing disaster recovery activities, configuring Media Agents, creating storage policies, and scheduling backups to ensure business continuity
Configure and manage CommServe, Media Agents, and Client components
Set up and manage storage policies, schedules, and deduplication settings
Integrating and managing cloud backup solutions with platforms like AWS, Azure
Familiar with disaster recovery planning and execution in Commvault
