Amar Musale

A Competent Marine ecologist, Protein biochemist and biotechnologist with 17+ years of qualitative experience in Research & Development with multiple well-known organizations. I have worked on a major project “Ballast water management program” at CSIR-NIO for more than five years with major emphasize on fouling organisms, invasive species, macro benthic taxonomy, microbiology and related other works to acquire a baseline data for the major ports of India. Further, at Reliance Industries Ltd., I gained an experience in an umbrella "Synthetic biology" in terms of setting up high throughput screening, protein extraction, expression, purification, electrophoresis, SDS PAGE-Gel, western blot, & molecular biology. Extensive experience in microbiological techniques for taxonomy, growth and maintenance of microbial cultures including E. coli (bacteria), cyanobacteria, algae, and fungi. Collaboration with global teams for product development and developing cross functional projects and technology transfer. Hands on experience in cultivation of microbes at lab and commercial scale production. Thorough knowledge and experience in handling different laboratory instruments. Ample knowledge on writing scientific reports, peer review publications, review articles etc and patents for new product development. Published seven peer reviewed publications and one patent. Skilled in project and people management, projects planning and prioritization, troubleshooting and time management. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Successfully handled and completed given laboratory and an on-site critical task for which rewarded by several recognitions by the organization and team.
