- Company Overview: Vidhyut steel tubes is a 40 years old, steel tube manufacturing company. Currently Manufacturing ERW/CDW/ CDS in various sizes.
- Working as operation head and having responsibility for entire plant operation, we have one tube mill producing 15.88 to 63.50 mm OD and 0.90 to 4.0 mm thick.
- Normally use TATA/JSW material for different grade such as 1008, 1010, 1020, St 37, St 42 and etc.
- We have 4 draw benches in cold drawn section manufacturing 6.00 mm to 81.00 mm outer diameter and thickness start from 0.70 to 6.0 mm finish.
- We are also manufacturing CDS tube from 6.0 mm to 33.00 mm outer diameter and thickness range from 0.90 to 6.0 mm thickness.
- As operation head my responsibility start from order R.M to dispatch finished tubes.
- Make month production plan for ERW as well as CDW.
- Track all activities like production, quality, and other functions, maintenance, dispatch as per plan.
- If any gap found take immediate action to recover loss for the coming day in months.
- Closely monitor customer quality in daily review meeting of production, quantity and dispatch.
- Daily review maintenance break down to control MTTR and MTBF.
- Apart this having CDS manufacturing for auto and defense sector.
- Effectively utilized the available resource and control inventory for better finance control.
- Adding to this add new customer for business developments.
- Review customer complaint and take necessary action to avoid customer ratings.
- Take immediately necessary decision to avoid plant working in breakdown or abnormal situation.

- Caparo Tubes is approved supplier of MSIL taking care of entire plant operation activities (Tube Mills/Tool room/Furnaces/STP/Draw benches/Finishing section/quality).
- Finalize the month operation plan with all cost elements.
- Daily monitoring production with loss time summary and take necessary action to fill the gap.

- Take immediate action for any breakdown as well as preventive maintenance of tube mills/furnaces/STP/draw benches/EOT cranes etc.
- Trouble shooting of process problem on furnace/STP/draw benches.
- Monitoring 4M change on monthly basis for better traceability of customer complaint.
- Monitoring inventory at each level (RM/WIP/FG) to control the working capital.
- Discuss with supplier for their material quality for effective and budget operation.
- Ensure safety in plant by ensuring the use of PPEs.
- Daily monitoring the rejection in plant from slitter to visual inspection to control plant yield.
- Arrange training at every section to encourage the good process practices/safety/quality to ensure the healthy plant environment.
- Encourage team effort for cost saving by giving small gifts.
- Take active participation in quality month and safety week with theme basis to adopt in process.
- Work on process and cycle time to reduce or maintain costing as per SAP by reducing the operating temperature of furnaces and other process parameter.
- Handling customer complaint for better execution of customer order.
- Win Kizan competition in Gabriel quality month in best supplier.
