- Deployed new infrastructure sites from scratch to meet the increasing demand of our cloud services. (Hosts, Backups, Replication,etc)
- Introduced Tape Backups in our Backup Environment for the first time by researching and deploying Tape Libraries on multiple sites. This added a layer of protection against Ransomware.
- Implemented Disaster Recover process without any third-party dedicated software to make the cloud environment more secure and give our client seamless experience.
- Researched and Tested various VDI products for the companies growth like VMware Horizon, VMware Horizon for Azure, Workspace One and Citrix Cloud. This led to formation of a dedicated VDI Team for the companies expansion into new domains in cloud.
- Completed revamped the backup infrastructure by moving the Backup Severs from Windows OS to Linux for better security. Also, implemented Immutable XFS backups on these servers for protection against Ransomware.
- Designed a New Site to meet our ever growing demand by researching our historical data and future projections along with the latest infrastructure provided by multiple vendors which are suitable to our needs.
- Implemented DHCP on all sites replacing the slow static method of providing IP’s to VM and maintaining IP Pool records which made our work environment more efficient.
- Constantly Updating and Upgrading all the software and tools we use in our infrastructure to patch any vulnerabilities and increasing the efficiency of our hardware.( vCenter, ESXi, Veeam, VRMS, NSX, etc)
- Upgrading and adding components to our existing Hardware for better efficiency and client experience.
- Setting up hosts for our day to day use and testing lab for the whole office and helping the Local IT team to familiarize with the new software. This helped the company to quickly switch to Work-From-Home when the pandemic hit as we had free infrastructure to meet our local demand.
- Researching and Implementing multiple tools for monitoring various parts of our infrastructure. (Solarwinds, Grafana, Zabbix,etc). These tools helped us to identify the inefficiencies in our infrastructure and give data for our future demands with ever-increasing business
