Primary responsibility of the team is to maintain the reliability, performance and availability of Pega Cloud.

Roles and responsibilities:

• ITIL: Incident management, Change management, Root cause Analysis and handling service requests.
• Observability: Identify areas of improvement in monitoring and collaborate with POC, Observability team and engineering teams to improve observability of services and infrastructure. Acting on patterns and finding permanent solutions to issues identified.
• Mini projects: We run mini projects to support different outcomes. Some of the recent ones that I own: Cassandra version updates and externalization, CCB removals, Fleet wide updates to fix bugs, MSK version updates.
• SME support: I am a Liaison from cloud operations for couple of backing services: Cassandra and Kafka. Goal is to bring operational angle early into the development of the services by maintaining a close collaboration between product owners, external vendors and cloud operations. Also, drive outcome implementations associated with these services.
• People management: Provide guidance and map individual skill sets with company outcomes. Together we were able to transform 4 engineers into SMEs of different fields by constant guidance and cross functional collaboration.

Report generation.
Run jobs via cron tab in Linux servers.
Account management.
Other legacy Linux server admin tasks.
