    Purchased treatment materials and monitored their effectiveness to build four sludge treatment vehicles.

    Assisted the field team in removing and treating feces with the mobile treatment truck.

    Improved mobile treatment unit efficacy

    In March 2017, the team and consultants built a revised version of the machine and four prototype trucks to improve the WASH institute's mobile treatment unit.

    Mobile treatment units were used in Kerala's 2018 floods in Allepey and elsewhere. It helped treat sludge during the floods, and the Kerala government applauded it. UNICEF supported it. WASH's newly patented unit was demanded by government and public. Kerala government personnel received fecal sludge management and sanitation training.

    I studied and monitored the pit life extender (PLE), a revolutionary technology for residential fecal sludge treatment directly from the septic tank.
