• The Biomedical Engineering Department is aimed at proper management of all the medical equipment’s with efficiency & consistency.
• It involves in technical comparison, maintenance & running of the equipment’s.
• Ensuring 90% to 95% of Equipment uptime
• Installation or Deployment — Maintaining installations & deployment records.
• Technical Comparison — Comparison of the quotations from Vendors & giving comparative statement.
• Asset Management - Proper tagging & coding of the equipment’s & monitoring the movement of the equipment’s.
• Maintenance - Maintenance of the equipment’s on periodic basis, AMC's etc
• Replacement or New Requirements - Identification of the equipment’s which are reaching expiry / end of life.
• Call management - Receipt of the call & attending the call
• Condemnation — Condemnation with reference to life span & spare availability

• Maintenance of all Biomedical Equipment in the Hospital as per NABH standards.
• Make Daily Rounds and attend to emergency calls.
• Coordinating Installation, demonstration, and Deployment of equipment
• Conducting Training classes to the concerned staff and doctors in order to operate the equipment’s safely.
• Maintaining all documents as per NABH Standards.
• Updating of AMC & CMC contracts as per the records.
