Client : GE Money Credit card industry – Americas

GE Consumer Finance in the U.S. and Canada is a top provider of private-label credit cards, commercial programs and card-related financial services. We help hundreds of retailers, distributors and manufacturers to drive sales and profitability by employing innovative marketing programs, e-business solutions and Six Sigma quality.

Apps (Application processing) system is a 24*7 system, which accepts PLCC and DC credit card applications for various clients and processes the application and approves/declines/referrers the application based on various criteria’s. Apps system mainly processes three kinds of applications (eApply, Prescreen and Quickscreen). Apps team passes all the necessary information to rule engine, which is maintained by the Risk team to make the final decision.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of System Requirements – Client will provide us the business requirements and we map those requirements to IT requirements and submit the requirement docs to the client mapping every business requirement to IT requirement. Deliverables for this phase includes IT requirement document, High-level test plan.
• Design of Requirements– High level requirements are mapped to detailed design with the coding specs which has high level overview of the coding, the jobs involved and datasets involved. Deliverables for this phase includes detailed design, detailed test cases and Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).
• Participated in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback aimed at improving the quality of team deliverables.

Project: IDMS Elimination – Security System

Client: GE Money Credit Card Industry – Americas

The main objectives of this project are as follows,

• To eliminate the IDMS Database, which are used by other major applications like Genasys, Workstation etc. for security purpose and by Security System as well.
• The Security System Screens will be implemented as CICS screens as front-end and VSAM file for storing the data at the back-end.
• These screens will be present in a single region and the login screen can be triggered by a transaction.

This project deals with the security level access to the individual applications given to each user.

The conversion was done from IDMS/ADSO to VSAM/CICS.

Roles performed:

• Analyzed IDMS/ADSO codes.
• Have created Design Documents and Test plan for the project.
• I have created CICS programs and tested the same.
• I have created online packet CICS program for the connectivity of the application with the Security team for the access level.
• Have taken care of the release activities.
• Have helped the team members in all aspect and guided them as being the senior resource
• Enhanced software functionality by identifying and resolving complex coding issues.

Client: GE Money Credit card industry – Americas

Rule Engine functions essentially as a decision making engines, processing credit card applications and making decisions on whether to approve, decline, or refer them. The primary goal of this project is to test the strategies created by the clients in their own strategy creation tool.

Roles Performed:

• Tested number cases with different scenarios by using the test cases provided by the client
• Performed reject letter tasks on a monthly basis to verity the integrity of the tool.
• Implemented number of Rule Engines successfully.
