Deep dive the delay between global SIV pass and KYC

  • Amazon requires sellers to submit verification documents during the registration process. The verification workflow includes Identity and Profile Verification (IPV), Seller Identity Verification (SIV), and Know Your Customer (KYC) stages.
  • Our analysis of verification workflow timelines revealed that low-risk sellers spend an average of 0.5 days between completing SIV and starting KYC verification. This delay is unexpected because low-risk sellers typically don't need to provide additional documentation. However, the current system automatically requests Additional Documents (Auto RADs) based on risk level assessment.
  • This project requires collaboration with the Global Account Protection (GAP) team to: 1. Identify the root cause of delays between SIV and KYC stages 2. Analyze over 300 affected seller accounts 3. Develop solutions to optimize the verification timeline
