SABIC – Plant Economics and Development Project

Role: Senior Process Technologist & Data Scientist

• Led KPI calculations and performance analysis for Boilers (Methanol plant), Quench Towers (Olefins plant), and Furnaces (latest engagement) across multiple SABIC affiliates.
• Handled 4 boiler cases, 2 quench tower cases, and 1 furnace case, including weekly client meetings on production efficiency and energy opportunity realization.
• Developed advanced data science models across plant sections:
  Furnace Cases → Runlength Prediction (Linear CPR model) and NOx Multi-Horizon Forecasting (7-day outlook).
  Cold Section → Chest Pressure Forecasting Model for improved operational stability.
  Boilers → NOx emission forecasting models to support compliance and efficiency.
  Applied Random Forest, SVM, GLM, and Linear Regression for robust, multi-philosophy predictions.
• Designed and implemented data pipelines and inter-pass optimization frameworks, enabling ranking of furnaces under multiple constraints (run length, energy efficiency, NOx emissions, fuel consumption, and operational reliability).
• Enhanced Ingenero’s proprietary benchmarking tool by improving the inter-furnace optimum values logic, enabling more accurate optimization recommendations.
• Leveraged RapidMiner and SQL to transform historian and calculated data into React-based data science dashboards, delivering automated optimization suggestions for plant teams.
• Actively participated in KPI reviews and rhythm discussions for all boiler, quench, and furnace cases to align plant operations with optimization strategies.
• Built an Excel-VBA based communication tool to integrate Aspen HYSYS and HTRI, streamlining process simulation and heat exchanger design workflows.

ExxonMobil – Refinery and Blend Hub Project

Role: Supply Chain Consultant

• Designed and delivered dashboards, workbooks, and scorecards in the Kinaxis RapidResponse environment for supply chain visibility and decision support.
• Developed a netting algorithm to optimize supply allotment from multiple sources to meet diverse vendor demand efficiently.
• Built and validated demand forecasting models using Generalized Linear Models (GLM) and Support Vector Machines (SVM) for improved planning accuracy.
• Partnered with the business team in MVP development for key supply chain functions, including Destination Planning, Inventory Management, and MOT (Means of Transport) Planning.
• Achieved Kinaxis Supply Chain Consultant – Level 1 Certification, demonstrating platform expertise.
• Proficient in using JIRA for effective sprint planning, workflow management, and agile collaboration.

• CYANCO Omegaland, USA project: Executive (Junior Engineer) role - P&ID study and interpretation, modeling (configuration of P&IDs), FDS sheet preparation, emulating burner management system logics using IBD in Omega Land software, transmitter data collection sheet, and marshalling sheet preparation for effective communication between Omegaland and Plant DCS graphics.
• Data entry and consolidation, dynamic simulation tuning, and model startup.
• Borouge PetroSim model training: Executive role - steady-state simulation, digital twin analysis (calibration factors tuning), KPI, MPI, and DQP utility study.
