KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Design and Development :Create detailed designs and 3D models of fuel tank systems using CAD software. Develop systems for fuel storage, delivery, and venting, while addressing structural integrity. Ensure compatibility of materials with fuel types (e.g., gasoline, diesel, biofuels, or hydrogen).
• 2.Engineering Analysis : Conduct performance analyses, such as structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations. Evaluate system performance under various operating conditions and loads. Analyze fuel sloshing, pressure, and temperature impacts on the system.
• 3. Safety and Compliance : Design systems to comply with industry standards and regulations. Address safety aspects, including crash resistance, leak prevention, and fire resistance. Perform risk assessments and failure mode analysis (FMEA).
• 4. Testing and Validation : Develop and oversee prototypes and testing processes for durability, functionality, and safety. Conduct field and laboratory tests to validate designs. Monitor fuel system behavior in real-world scenarios.
• 5. Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams. Liaise with suppliers for material selection and manufacturing feasibility. Provide technical documentation and reports to stakeholders.
• 6. Innovation and Optimization : Research and incorporate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods. Optimize systems for weight, cost, and environmental impact. Innovate designs for alternative fuels and electrified vehicle platforms.
• 7. Manufacturing Support : Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. Support production teams with troubleshooting and design adjustments.

KEY ROLES
The LH C-Pillar Upper and Lower roles and responsibilities typically refer to designing, developing, and managing the components of the left-hand (LH) C-Pillar in automotive body design.

The C-pillar is the vertical or near-vertical structural support of a vehicle, located between the rear window and the rear quarter panel and support to the vehicle's roof and rear area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and Development : Create 3D models and detailed designs for the upper and lower sections of the LH C-Pillar using CAD tools. Ensure proper alignment and integration of upper and lower sections with adjacent components, such as the roof, side panels, and rear window.

2. Structural Integrity :Design components to enhance crashworthiness and meet global safety standards. Analyze stress distribution, load paths, and impact resistance to ensure the pillar withstands high forces during collisions.
3. Functional Integration : Ensure seamless integration of components like airbags, seatbelt anchors, and wiring harnesses. Design for proper fitment of weather seals and trims to prevent water and air leaks.
4. Manufacturing and Assembly Feasibility : Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production. Ensure ease of assembly and compatibility with robotic or manual production methods.
5. Testing and Validation : Conduct virtual and physical testing to validate structural performance, including crash testing and durability assessments. Perform dimensional accuracy checks and gap/flush evaluations between components.
6. Compliance and Regulations : Ensure designs comply with global automotive safety and emissions regulations. Address pedestrian safety standards, especially in regions with stringent requirements.
7. Documentation and Reporting : Prepare detailed drawings, reports, and specifications for manufacturing and validation. Maintain documentation for design changes, test results, and compliance certifications.
