Joined Amazon as a contractor on 4th January 2021 on third party payroll and got converted to Amazon's payroll on 21st June 2021.
I worked for Amazon Stores org. (Formerly known as India Consumer tech team) Responsible for hiring Software Development Engineers II/III. Here I :
- Aggressively supported hiring for various teams under this org like - Whole foods market engineering services (WFMES), Core Transportation Tech, Global Delivery Services, Customer Returns, PARS Tech, Physical stores, Finance Automation, Last Mile Delivery to name a few.
- Partnering with these hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with
an ability to manage customer/partner expectations.
- Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range
growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for
recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
- Writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
- Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in
interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top
performers etc.
Joined Amazon Entertainment (Formerly known as Global Media and Entertainment) on 7th February 2022 and presently working here. Hired for tech roles in India & China and non tech roles for Japan, Singapore and Australia.
I got selected and given a chance to work for Amazon Web Services (AWS) from 5th Feb 2024 to 31st May 2024 since the economic downturn left us with limited open requisitions and AWS had too many.
- · During my tenure in the AWS team over the past four months, I've been entrusted with significant responsibilities centered around the recruitment and hiring process for Cloud Support Engineers. My role has been multifaceted, involving various aspects of talent acquisition, evaluation, and preparing candidates for the interviews within the AWS ecosystem.
- · A crucial aspect of my responsibilities has been to identify and attract top-tier talent with the requisite skills and expertise in cloud computing, particularly in AWS services.
- I was offered to join this org. post completion of my tenure here.
