Worked on 2 NMS/EMS projects offshore/on-site at Nortel Mumbai & Ottawa.
Networks, Ottawa, Canada and offshore Mumbai. The project involved migration of HP-OV based uEMS to the Nortel’s Java based NMS platform. Developed a Fault Device adapter (coded C++ classes) and later productizing it.
This was a complex & challenging project where Nortel team had given up and project was shelved. Worked on 2 major releases sEMS 1.0.5/ sEMS 2.0, GUI, CORBA & fault (C/C++) related code, SRs (bug fixes).
Innovation- During project transition phase, self started a internal product idea called Telemail, which involved using Windows TAPI interface, (speech to Text APIs) and delivering voice messages into mail.
