· Overall responsibility of day to day functions of engineering department allied activities and provide leadership to engineering department team.

· Daily work planning, prioritizing and allotting work to personnel. Deploy the manpower based on work priorities.

· Effective planning and execution of preventive maintenance schedules.

· Monitoring inventory level of critical spare parts, essential consumables and generate indent on need base

· Monitor the utilities like power, water, HVAC systems, air compressor, LDO consumption of Bolier IBR & non IBR periodically.

· Co – ordinate with respective production sections to understand steam requirements for effective & efficient operation of boilers.

· Identifying training needs of Engineering department personnel & imparting training to them in on the job, safety, good engineering practices (GEP), statutory compliances and efficient utilization of available resources.

· Performance appraisal of Engineering department personnel.

· Preparing & maintaining essential documents/records/data in line with GMP/ISO standards/GEP.
