• System Performance Monitoring Tool (Duration: 8 Months) : Technology Used : CLLE, Free format RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, Dataq, IFS, FTP, APIs, STOMP program, etc. Responsibilities : Analyzed historical and real-time system data for resource types such as *JOB, *POOL, *DISK, *IOP, and *COMM from system tables. Processed and restructured raw data, eventually loading the final data into Dataq. Sent the processed data to the server using FTP, SFTP, and STOMP.
• Inventory Tool : Description : Developed a tool based on developer requirements to retrieve information about the system. This tool provides details about all objects within a library, including object type, specifics, total number of PF-SRC, and PF file field information. The information is displayed on a green screen.
• Insurance Domain Migration Project : Objective : Migrated the GCOS (Main Frame) system to IBM i (AS/400) as per client requirements. Contributions : Analyzed the existing GCOS system program and restructured its architecture. Designed the system to send the same data to both the front-end web screen and the green screen (DSPF). Created utilities to import GCOS data from IFS into the IBM i machine. Developed a conversion utility to transform GCOS system programs into IBM i programs (CLLE, COBOL, DSPF). Implemented a program to generate reports and send them via email. Environment : COBOL, CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2, GCOS TCL, COBOL, GCOS screen. Tools Used : Azure DevOps (VSTS Ticketing tool).
• Printer File Conversion Tool : Purpose : Developed a tool to convert O-specs printer files into external printer files based on developer requirements.
• Manufacturing Domain : The client relies on an in-house legacy system. To meet the evolving business needs, I actively participated in multiple enhancement and maintenance projects. My contributions included: Streamlining production processing and re-tagging for metal coils. Expanding file field sizes. Implementing an EDI middleware project that bypassed Gentran files. Developing programs for generating month-end and daily invoices. Creating a unified program to address various data issues and generate printer file reports. Environment : CLLE, RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2, QSYSPRT, PRTF, etc. Tools Used : DBU, Turnover, X-Analysis, ServiceNow (Ticketing tool).
• Dark Star Motors (Internal Project) : Overview : Dark Star Motors, a global automobile manufacturer, produces a diverse range of cars, buses, and trucks. Project Purpose : This internal project aimed to enhance my understanding of architecture design and develop business applications on the IBM i machine. Specific Role : Worked on the “Work Order Processing” module, establishing communication between various modules and the Work Order module. Facilitated order entry and invoice processing based on order requirements. Generated relevant reports as needed. Environment : CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2, DSPF, etc.
