As the Regional Director of BCAS for the Patna, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar regions, I was responsible for ensuring robust implementation of aviation security regulations across all civil airports under my jurisdiction, overseeing security preparedness of airlines, airport operators, ground handling agencies, and cargo units, conducting regular inspections, audits, and surprise checks to ensure compliance with BCAS standards, closely coordinating with CISF, State Police, AAI, airlines, and intelligence agencies to maintain seamless security operations, supervising AVSEC training and certification activities, monitoring incident response and threat mitigation measures, enforcing BCAS directives and penal provisions wherever required, reviewing airport expansion and infrastructure proposals from a security perspective, and providing administrative leadership to the Regional Offices to maintain a high level of operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
