Currently serving as a Procurement Manager at 2*350 MW JSW Ind Barath Energy Utkal Ltd, where I am responsible for overseeing the procurement activities and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. My role involves:

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan procurement, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Implementing and maintaining procurement systems and processes to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
• Monitoring and analyzing procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Managing vendor performance and conducting regular supplier evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
• Having ample exposure to overseas sourcing and well accustomed to various Incoterms (like CIP, CIF & FOB) and Payment Terms (like L/C & CAD)
• Ensuring hassle-free custom clearances for spares imported from foreign countries by effective coordination with shipping lines & CHA
• Carried out procurement of customized spares/developmental items by implementing process of reverse engineering
• Finalization of major service contracts (both job based and manpower based) after coordination with the technical team as per defined scope of work
• Having adequate knowledge of bank guarantees and utilizing the same to create a secured payment mechanism, thus ensuring strict financial coverage while finalizing any major contracts
