Involved in project-related activities and then in the mechanical maintenance of yard equipment and conveyor systems. Detailed activities are as follows:

• Involved in the installation of a covered shed for stacking bulk raw materials, structural erection work, conveyor system installation, and yard equipment erection.
• Erection and commissioning of the firefighting system (MVWS), dry fog dust suppression system, and sprinkler system at the coal, ore, and flux yard.
• Involved in running projects and major breakdown works, such as the slew bearing replacement of the bucket wheel stacker reclaimer and the installation of a continuous grease lubrication system in junction houses having multiple greasing points.
• Doing regular preventive maintenance of equipment and hydraulic systems to avoid breakdowns, and increase efficiency and runtime.
• MTBF, MTTR, and defect list preparation.
• Planning for shutdown activities to avoid future breakdowns.
• Manpower management and work distribution as per requirements.
• Focusing on reducing delays and stoppages by implementing KAIZEN.
• Cross-functional collaboration.
• Consumable management and procurement of spares.
• Giving awareness training to line personnel to lead safety initiatives to foresee and prevent lapses and accidents.
