Responsibilities & Results:
1. AWS Cost Optimization: Analyze and optimize AWS costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities, monitoring usage patterns, and recommending strategies to eliminate waste while maintaining performance and scalability. This resulted in overall Cost Savings of $7.2M per annum.

2. Cost Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular cost reports and perform in-depth analysis to identify cost drivers, trends, and anomalies. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders for cost optimization and budget planning. This resulted in visibility, accountability and ownership.

3. AWS Cost Management Tools: Utilized and configured AWS cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Cost Optimizer, Trusted Advisor, Data Exports, QuickSight to monitor, track, and manage costs effectively.

4. Cost Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with cost governance policies and best practices, including monitoring and enforcing tags, cost allocation and resource utilization.

5. Cost Optimization Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Engineering and Finance to develop and implement cost optimization initiatives like EC2 Rightsizing, ECS Optimization, CW Optimization, RDS / DB Optimization, S3 Optimization, Account & Application rationalization.

6. Cloud Cost Forecasting: Forecast AWS costs based on business growth, usage patterns and infrastructure changes. Provide accurate cost projections to support budgeting and financial planning.

7. Cost Awareness and Training: Educate and train team members on AWS cost management best practices, tools, and techniques to promote cost-conscious decision-making across the organization.

8. Vendor Management: Collaborate with AWS account managers and vendors to negotiate pricing, optimize contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

9. Unit Economics: Based on the metrics for broadcasting platform. Per unit cost was calculated by considering the events, event hours, qualified users on monthly basis. Per Unit cost was reduced significantly once all the resources were baselined.

• Developed project plans and managed project scope using methodologies to guide projects from conceptualization to implementation and maintenance.
• Maintained strict budgetary control on cloud (managed / consulting) projects ranging from $ 500K to $10M and working with project teams to track costs and control expenditures without sacrificing quality.
• Adjusted project plans to account for dynamic targets, staffing changes and operational specifications.

IBM - Managed Applications - Cloud Managed Services

• Handled 140+ projects, deployed 1300+ servers, 450 network devices, 275 storage devices across 12 countries (16 sites)
• As a part of process improvement, reduced the average MTTI to 33 days from a mammoth 205 days. This lead to gradual reduction in person hours by $600K and increased in customer satisfaction
