1. 5G Geolocation
Duration: Sep 2024 – Ongoing
Role: Senior Principal Engineer / Team Lead
Responsibilities:
- Designed development strategies for 5G, including release planning and estimation.
- Interpreted customer requirements to develop custom solutions.
- Provided technical support to cross-functional teams, including stack and PHY layers.
- Conducted SNR and timing estimations for SRS reference signals.
- Developed cell search algorithms for the USSM PHY module.
2. Airborne Implementation
Duration: Jan 2022 – Ongoing
Role: Senior Principal Engineer / Team Lead
Responsibilities:
- Conducted feasibility testing of components for airborne requirements.
- Designed software and hardware solutions based on feasibility analysis and customer needs.
- Developed algorithms across multiple radio access technologies (RATs):
- Doppler-based algorithms for GSM and UMTS.
- Timing-based algorithms for LTE and UMTS.
- Delivered releases and ensured smooth communication between teams.
- Managed bug tracking and prioritized development tasks.
3. Geolocation Implementation

Role: Principal Engineer → Senior Principal Engineer / Team Lead
Responsibilities by Components:
- USSM (Physical Layer on DSP):
- Enhanced LTE cell search procedures and SNR calculations.
- Improved GSM synchronization and signal measurement logic.
- Optimized LTE-TDD scheduling and performance.
- Implemented SNR and RSCP calculations for CDMA/UMTS and delay tracking.
- Enhanced validation frameworks and test cases.
- Integrated RF interface for advanced geolocation features.
- GLPHY (Geolocation on ARM):
- Implemented runtime delay calibration to improve accuracy.
- Supported CDMA with phase difference calculation.
- Enhanced algorithms to detect frequency and timing offsets across RATs.
- Added support for new catcher types and customer-driven requirements.
- Developed geolocation capabilities leveraging base station signals.
- GFW/GNOP/Python GUI (Windows Component):
- Measured and improved confidence levels for 2D geolocation.
- Enhanced accuracy for 2D and 3D geolocation data.
- Automated field log post-processing and analysis workflows.
4. GSM Physical Layer
Duration: Jul 2015 – Jun 2019
Responsibilities:
- Developed and optimized L1-PHY libraries for 2G in line with 3GPP specifications.
- Improved test environments and implemented unit test frameworks.
- Created libraries for multi-carrier development and enhanced BEP measurement.
- Developed UE boot-up band scanners and hard-coded L2 stub simulators.
- Built API commands for physical and logical channel activation.
- Implemented frequency hopping for UEs.
