Purchase Order Management System, The Purchase Order Management System is an in-house application owned by Lowes that handles both domestic and import purchase orders. Business users will have the capability to create, update, or cancel purchase orders, and the application efficiently manages the entire lifecycle of each purchase order. Additionally, the system facilitates the transmission of purchase orders to downstream systems, including vendors, distribution centres (DCs), and stores. Furthermore, it serves as a monitoring tool for tracking the receiving and payment information associated with each order., Analyzing the existing mainframe components for modernizing with a new tech stack., Designing and building tables in the Postgres DB for the application modernization., Working on high-level and low-level design for application development in Java., Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and integrate required services or APIs., Working on Java development activities, includes creation of Kafka topic, App ID, and tables., Conducting end-to-end/system integration testing to ensure the application behaves as expected., Reviewing the final results with business users to obtain their approval for deployment., Implementing mainframe/Java code into production and monitoring its performance., Providing production support for mainframe/Java applications on a rotational basis., Assisting team members with functional knowledge and addressing any production issues that may arise.
