- Purpose of the process is daily fund accounting for international/domestic Mutual funds to keep a track of all in and out activities for the funds (Cash Availability, Process and Settle Trades, Monitor Income, Expenses posting Monitor, Corporate Actions, Accounting and NAV Calculation) which helps to find out total net assets value of fund, the calculated NAV is then published to NASDAQ
- Processing Mutual funds which include Equity and Bond Funds for various clients
- Processing accounting tasks for EXPENSES, CAPSTOCK, TRADES, DIVIDENDS, INTEREST and FUTURES
- Settling and updating trades for bond funds are accurately setup for amortization and accruals
- Worked on Fixed Income funds
- (To check the exception on IWB, New buy trade setup, Accrual, Amortization)
- Validating the trades on fund, these trades should book correctly as per their price, shares, Net amount, settlement location, trade date, and settlement date
- Proving out the corporate actions
- Verifying and researching any activity impacting NAV e.g
- Trades, Dividends etc
- Verifying the trade price with Bloomberg for all the trades impacting NAV and breaking tolerances
- Verifying that the dividends are booked correctly by cross checking the parameters like Dividend Rates/EX-Date/Record-Date/Pay-Date with Bloomberg for all dividend lines setup on the fund
- Getting the dividend lines setup manually for the missing dividends on fund
- Verifying out all impacts on the fund is good in regards to prices in portfolio
- Monitoring the portfolio pricing for all Fund holdings and verifying the prices for top moving securities
- Calculating and Disseminating NAV to NASDAQ
