Worked in 5 Ministries in the Government of India for 7 years bestowing valuable and wide exposure to the functioning of the Executive, legislature, and Judiciary.

As Private Secretary to three Union Ministers of the Government of India was responsible for active policy-making, Strategic Communications. Actively Assisted the Government in Drafting the National Education Policy 2020, Civil Aviation Policy and National Tourism Policy.

Public Policy:

  • Drafted the New Polyhouse based horticulture.
  • Drafted Millet mission of the state.

Project Management:

  • As Chief project Director, leading a team of 400 professionals under IFAD funded project to establish 10,000 women led enterprises.
  • As Chief Project Director of JICA funded project managing a 200 million Dollar Project.
  • Ensured Uttarakhand tops in the country in KCC Animal Husbandry cards distributed to farmers.
  • Projects worth 600 Crore were sanctioned by Govt of India to the state of Uttarakhand in Primary sector for innovative projects.
  • Used advance project management skills to monitor development projects. This ensured Uttarakhand topped the country in three schemes of Rural development (PMAY,Amrit Sarovar, NRLM).

Public Policy:

  • Assisted Union Minister in formulating the landmark National Education Policy (NEP) of India-2020.NEP created a paradigm shift in education system of the entire country impacting 330 million students.
  • Designed and formulated policies for effectively managing the online education system during COVID ensuring no disruption in studies for students of entire country.
  • Created the framework for National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR) and National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) for Ministry of Education. The online education landscape of entire country in being designed as per the framework.
  • Conducted in-depth data analysis of 5/20 rule and UDAAN Scheme to provide inputs to Minister for formulation policy. The inputs helped millions of Indians travel economically.
  • Managed the Swadesh Darshan Scheme (Central Sector Scheme) based on analysis of tourist circuits and drafted the PRASAD scheme guidelines. This ensured that the development of Tourist destinations and allowing more tourist traffic in the country.
  • Finalized the RFP for privatization of ITDC hotels.

Legislative work:

  • Persuaded the legislative process for various bills such Central Sanskrit University Act, Reservations of Faculty positions, National Judicial Accountability Bill.

Stakeholder collaboration:

  • Effective liaison with Members of Parliament across political parties and academicians to ensure adoption of National Education Policy.
  • Liaison with CII, FICCI and trade bodies to address their concerns with the government in Education, Civil Aviation, Tourism ministries.
  • Collaborate with Non-Governmental organizations to ensure that education reaches the undeserved areas of the country, positively helping thousands of students.
  • Established advocacy networks at the international level by collaborating with UN World Tourism Organization to represent Tourism Ministry at the Global platform to discuss the policy issues. Campaign.
  • Strengthened International relations with diverse institutions like UNESCO, Nehru Centre London, Quacquarelli Symonds, AIBC etc., by collaborating with them on various policy matters.

Resource Mobilization:

  • Raised Rs.10 crore funds for Uttarakhand Government during COVID-19 by building strategic partnerships and resource mobilization through non-governmental organizations.
  • External & Internal Communications:
  • Implemented effective communication strategies and strengthened the presence of Hon'ble Minister in print, electronic and social media for continuous engagement through various platforms resulted in an increase of 1.4 million followers on Twitter.
  • Effectively communicated government's actions through social media, print and electronic media regarding NEP. This strategy ensured that NEP was properly understood by all Indians countering the forces that tried to oppose the policy

Public Affairs:

  • Conducted and attained incident-free Member of Parliament Elections held in 2014 for 12,58,495 eligible voters as Returning Officer for District Dehradun.
  • Ensured admission of 11,000 children in good public schools under below poverty line in first three years of implementation of Right to Education Act. This record is unsurpassed till now.
  • Executed1098 Child Helpline in the district and ensured timely response is delivered to the problems of 4,51,320 children in the district.

Project Management:

  • Designed and initiated the "Anti-Polythene Campaign" Dehradun city was made polythene free in 6 months in collaboration with local shopkeepers, the model later adopted by the Uttarakhand State to make it Polythene free state.
  • Conceived and Conducted the Mussoorie Winter Line Carnival -2014 for the first time by raising Rs. 20 million. Carnival has recently concluded 6th edition, successfully is testimony to it.
  • Accomplished the widening of Chakrata road to 24 meters by coordinating with the locals and agreeing on them to a Rehabilitation package to resolve the issue, which was pending for 15 years due to stiff resistance from the local shop keepers.
  • Formulated and introduced two new housing schemes in Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority.
  • Distributed 2,000 Housing Plots to people living Below Poverty Line, thus implementing a proposal pending for the past ten years.
  • Facilitated the enrolment of approx. 10,000 beneficiaries under the National Old Age pension scheme
  • Pioneered initiative for increasing the profitability of GMVN, having a Turnover of 1.2 billion and 1200 employees with 90 guest houses.
  • Recruited 400 instructors, as Director of Industrial Training Institutes, single-handedly implementing the proposal, pending for ten years.

Program Management:

  • Completed the works of Prime Ministers Package for Stabilization of Varuna Vrat Parvat Hill and 900 meters Tunnel Project in the record eight months.
  • Accomplished the task of disbursing Microloans to below poverty line people and setting up standard operating procedures for the bank. Thereby gaining a rich first-hand experience of running a bank from a managerial and implementation perspective.
