  • A Discourse on Interrelatedness of Covid-19 Pandemic and Zombie Apocalyptic Movies. An attempt to study popular culture in the context of anxieties of the contemporary world. The project focuses on three popular apocalyptic movies World War Z, Train to Busan, and #Alive and their interrelatedness with the global experience of the Covid-19 pandemic. All three movies are from the pre-covid era, yet the emotions underlying these cinematic texts run parallel to the global encounter with the pandemic.

 

  • Deconstructing the Patriarchal Representation of Women in Advertisements. A dissertation that shed light on the various problematic representations of women in advertisements and how it was entertained even in these times. Following, the project included the concept of 'Femvertising' and various other resistance to such demeaning advertisements.
