Roles & Responsibilities:

• Installing Commvault agent on Media agent and Client machines.
• Monitoring the backup jobs and troubleshooting Commvault backup issues based on error statements.
• Initiating Backup and Restore jobs upon the request.
• Knowledge on data aging of Commvault jobs and days and cycles concept.
• Having good knowledge of creation sub client policies, schedule policies and storage policies.
• Having good knowledge on Commvault Deduplication scenario.
• Having experience on virtualization and VMware backups.
• Installation of Backup client software on client servers (Windows, Linux) and addition to the backup by creating new backup policy and schedules.
• Hands on tape media life cycle and media states.
• Working with Data Canter team to Tape activities like Inserting/Removing the tapes and sending the Onsite/Offsite activities.
• Coordinate with CAB (Change Approval Board) to get approval and execute the change based on requirement
• Working and closing the Tickets as per our service Level agreements.
