Deliverables
- Lead a team for 24x7 NOC support for Submarine cable NOC and the international data and transport network extended from the cable system.
- Operation & Maintenance of OSS system for the NOC, and coordination with all stakeholders, including software solution provider.
- Ensure timely notifications / alerts from NOC to customers and all stakeholders
- Preparing periodic NOC Performance Reports to Management committee and as per reporting structure
- Analysis of the Network performance (Repeated Complaints, Hardware Failure Trends, Vendor Performance, Repair & Maintenance)
- Ensure NOC operations’ adherence to agreed SLAs.
- Coordination with Management and MAs during Marine/ Land Faults and Study/Preparation of MOP so that, there is minimum possible impact to the Customers
- Proper scheduling of maintenance activities to avoid activities which may result in critical failures.
- To maintain 100% uptime for NOC Support System
- Coordination for Maintenance / Enhancements with NSS vendor.
- Coordinating submarine cable upgrade activities, Network tests, NMS and system acceptance and evaluations.
- Supporting Vendors during Updates in field Trails etc.
- Ensuring minimum impact to the customers during Upgrades, by efficient planning
- Network resource management and optimization
- Plan and execute traffic migrations and traffic grooming.
- Design and Implementation of restoration plans
- Developing & retaining a highly skilled team
- Maintaining Internationally accepted standards.
- Update the technical skills of the team to the latest technologies and practices in the industry through training , to upkeep the standards of service.
