CPT

As an application support engineer, we had to maintain environment health so that QA team could perform testing without any hassle.

There were several environments to cater to,also, we had to work with Clients and developers for any functionality changes

Below is the day-to-day tasks we had to do: ->

  • Responsible for weekend DB refresh also monitor the DB health checks.
  • Trouble shooting general glitches in the environments which could lead to major issue via logging into specific server and checking process logs to find the exact error and resolve it.
  • Analyzed and monitored system performance metrics such as CPU utilization, memory usage and disk space.
  • Creating Knowledge Articles of new concepts that are discovered while solving a certain issue.
  • Incorporate the daily code changes done by developers to the specific environments using Jenkins.
  • Monitor the health of several processes running on 6 different applications using a client specific tool Leela.
  • Has thorough knowledge of service now and other ticketing tools like sockeye -> Had to ensure the successful trade lifecycle that contained 14 and more application -> Had to present updates and other details to the clients on daily basis.

IWM Banking-

Under IWM Banking Project we mainly supported 4 applications related to banking overseas across the globe 24 by 5 in different relevant shifts

The work comprised of

  • Build and Deployments of necessary codes for required upgrades.
  • Keeping different testing environments up and running.
  • Working through T24 applications and troubleshooting and consulting about necessary changes.
  • Tracking different glitches in different backend servers.
  • Working with developers’ team, QA teams and the client to deliver the necessary releases.
  • Collaborated with internal teams to resolve customer issues and support customer service goals.
  • Performed root cause analysis for complex production incidents and implemented preventive measures accordingly.

Under dsp-testing-support my roles were –

  • Had to act as a core application support team which incorporated software as well as hardware elements

  • I had to maintain the overall support infrastructure under which many other application testing and production testing teams work
