SFP Transceiver Integration and Monitoring:

• Developed and implemented procedures to read the EEPROM hardware registers on the SFP module, accessing all metrics using the I2C protocol.
• Sent IPC messages between WCS (Wireless Communication System) and OPT card(Optical card) to handle triggering alarms in the WCS.
• Facilitated user actions by providing real-time updates on SFP.

UAP (Access Point) Connection and Monitoring:

• Implemented detection mechanisms on the optical card to identify reboots, card/port discards, and physical AP fiber link removals.
• Sent the AP link down events to WCS, and took appropriate actions in WCS.
• Analyzed existing code to identify areas of improvement, then optimized design and implementation of new features.

- Documented system requirements and designed test plans to verify the functionality of the embedded software.

- Resolved customer-reported defects by debugging code at the software level.

Node Manager Application Development:

Developed a robust and versatile Node Manager application that runs as a deamon service, integral for system configuration and management of OneCell 5G systems, using multithreading concepts to enhance performance and responsiveness. The application was widely adopted across the company, and included the following key features.

• System Configuration: Automated upgrades and downgrades of pod software in Kubernetes.
• Performance Monitoring: Engineered real-time monitoring and sending to the Central Management System with system performance metrics, including CPU utilization, power utilization, currently running software, network utilization, I/O bandwidth utilization, and log core memory utilization.
• Log Management: Developed features for uploading and managing log and core files to the Central Management System, facilitating seamless analysis and troubleshooting.

Application Development for Log and Core File Management:

• Developed an automated application to manage log and core files, ensuring efficient disk space utilization.
• Implemented a mechanism to clean up old log and core files when disk utilization exceeds 60%, with real-time monitoring to halt the cleanup once utilization falls below 60%.
• Integrated a continuous check (every minute) on log and core file utilization to maintain optimal hard disk performance.
