Shaphali Chandra

I am a certified Trauma surgeon trained from India's state of the art apex trauma centre in AIIMS, under esteemed pioneers of trauma care in India. I deal with the whole spectrum of management of trauma cases ranging from non operative to emergent Damage control surgery. My experience includes performing a wide range of emergency surgeries, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely and comprehensive trauma care. I am a confident, determined and highly motivated surgeon who has the capacity to think on my feet and perform in those crucial few minutes where the patient might be bleeding to death. I am a natural team leader and thoroughly enjoy working in a team. I am empathetic towards patients and believe in a strong work ethic. My heart beats for the betterment of Trauma care in India.

• I am the overall incharge of Trauma care and oversee all aspects of Trauma care in the hospital.
• Train and guide the ER team regarding resuscitation and ATLS based approach of Trauma patients.
• Non operative and Operative management of Trauma patients.
• Designed first of its kind - CODE TRAUMA for critically ill patients arriving in ER
• Organised the first ever YATHARTHCON TRAUMA CONFERENCE : a 2 day educational program dedicated to advancing trauma care.
• Trained police officers and first responders in the fundamental principles of basic approach to a trauma victim.
• Involved in academics of DNB Surgery students.
