- Assigned to a new project that came up with a huge backlog. Collaborated closely with team members to achieve project objectives and meet the deadlines.
- Due to this, we owned the project and built the team with a team size of 70 users from three different locations (Trivandrum, Chennai, and Nagercoil) with multiple specialty coding like EM (inpatient, observation, and outpatient), ED, major and minor surgery, anesthesia coding, and denials, with a positive working relationship between the client, management, and fellow staff being maintained.
- Cross-trained surgery users for anesthesia coding, and this knowledge transfer helped to reduce the two full-time positions to one full-time position.
- Cross-trained EM coders from inpatient to outpatient and vice versa made the team eligible for any type of EM coding, which in turn helped to smooth the backlog clearance.
- Due to excellence in performance, the team received many growth opportunities among the team, and now we have 3 lead coders, 2 SMEs, 3 QA promotions, and 2 additional team leads.
- The major challenge was due to improper attestation accounts being kept on hold, and for this hold clearance, we recommended that the client connect privately with the providers directly to get clarity on their attestations, which resulted in additional FT additions. We created a new group for client message sending.
