Interact with various stakeholders and Business Analysts to understand the business requirements.
Analyze the business requirement assigned from Business stakeholders and development
Prepare technical approach document to implement the requirements given by business analysts based on the requirement elicitation.
Develop low level design document indicating the transformations such as (Source qualifier, Expression, Update strategy, Router, Filter, Lookup, Joiner, Union, Aggregator, Rank, Normalizer, SQL) and the flow to be used for implementing the logic.
Develop source code/mappings based on the low-level design using Informatica tool (Informatica PowerCenter 10.2) to cleanse/normalize/validate the Medicaid/Medicare eligibility information.
Write/modify DB2 SQL PL and Shell scripts which are contingent on Informatica mapping.
Modify the existing mappings/source code for enhancement of existing functionality as per business needs. (Test-driven development would be carried in both development and enhancement tasks).
Handle the complex scenarios and build reusable component to reduce redundancy.
Debug the data errors by analyzing the session and workflow logs in fixing the bugs.
Develop stored procedures, database triggers and tune SQL code for optimization.
Ensure the informatica mappings, Shell scripts and SQL scripts are developed as per the coding standards defined.
Actively participate in review meetings on design, technical documentation, Unit test cases and code walkthroughs to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the business and the system.
Perform root cause analysis on all processes and resolve production issues by analyzing logs and providing code fixes.
Train new team members on healthcare and insurance domain (US Healthcare and Health Insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, HIPPA, ICD, Claim Process, FWA) and on project application knowledge.
