Roles And Responsibilities

As a Packaging Engineer

  • Validating the source file which is provided by the vendor.
  • Installing in VM Machine and finding the behavior of the given sources
  • Creating Transforms for vendor supplied MSIs’ which meet the client requirements and standards as well
  • Customization of vendor MSI with MST according to business needs
  • Responsible for creating and delivering quality and error free packages
  • To take ownership of the application to complete within SLA.
  • Preparing documentation for packaging process for better understanding of the functionality and complexity of the package
  • Create package in SCCM and advertise it to test the deployment internally before sending to testing team.
  • Performing the IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) before sending it to RMTC (Release Management Testing Centre)
  • Used third parity tools Process Monitor, InstallRite as part of troubleshoot.
  • Interacting with Team on issues with packages.
  • Creating Custom Actions in .MSI packages.
  • Has client discussion daily on priority applications
  • Release the error free package to the end users.

As a Application Packaging Tower SPOC

  • Preparing documentation and training materials coordinated technology related training.
  • Discuss with the team regularly to support.
  • Infrastructure activities and assist with problem resolution
  • Conduct regular meetings with customer and internal teams to understand their issues and concerns
