Role: Wiring Harness Designer

Tool Used: 3D Experience (RVT)

Harness: Underbody zone - Low Voltage Harness

• Designed and developed wiring harnesses for passenger and light commercial vehicles.
• Support harness routing following Renault Engineering's rules.
• Inspect completed installations and monitor operations for design conformance and safety compliance.
• Maintain design documentation and provide design issue feedback to architectural engineers.
• Contributed to digital and technical reviews, ensuring alignment with design standards to resolve design convergence and validate the harness for design.
• Work with the Linked part design team on bracket and duct design, volumetric concepts, 3D harness data, clip orientation, and supplier layout support.
• Validated supplier 2D drawings, created change requests, prepared BOM, and managed engineering changes to ensure timely release of harnesses.

• Reviewed wiring harness layouts in DMU, defining routing and clamping strategies to optimize design efficiency.
• Participate in Digital / Technical reception - Resolve design convergence & Validate harness for design.
• Validated and verified 2D drawings for DFM, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with design specifications.

Role: Wiring Harness Designer & Linked Part Designer

Harness: High Voltage AC & DC Harness, Low Voltage Harness

• HV & LV harness routing as per the Alliance Engineering Knowledge Rules.
• Harness supporting bracket and protector(duct) design concept preparation in part design workbench.
• Study for selection of protection, Harness quality check with AEK rules, manufacturing feasibility & harness packaging.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Read technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated macro reports.
• Prepare and Maintain the design documentation.
• Provide Design Issue feedback to Architect engineers.
• Participate in Digital / Technical reception - Resolve design convergence & Validate harness for design.
• Involve in Meeting with Engineering leader, supplier, DIAM towards effective management of harness delegation.

Harness: Body Harness, Chassis Harness and VTS Harness (Vehicle Tracking System) and Packaging of Electrical Components

• Designing wiring harness for multiple BUS variants in CATIA V5 & 3D_EXPERIENCE.
• Electrical and Electronics component packaging.
• Working knowledge of PLM on part number creation.
• Macro rules running and update the harness issues.
• Obtaining 2D drawing using CHS-Plugin.
• Preparing Installation drawings for all types of Harness.
• Update the leap BOM based on CAD (Catia V5 - 3D module)
• Promoting completed Design parts.
• Creating Assembles Bill of Materials and maintaining excel sheets.
