Started as an Associate System Engineer and currently handling Backup Team Lead responsibilities in Mainframe Operations, managing critical enterprise systems in a 24×7 rotational shift environment.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions:

• Monitor and manage mainframe batch processing and system consoles across multiple production, development, and test environments.
• Handle 18+ system consoles, supporting multiple global clients and internal enterprise systems.
• Work with enterprise scheduling tools, including ESP, CA7, Control-M, and TWS, for batch monitoring and job management.
• Manage P1/P2 critical incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate with resolver groups to ensure timely resolution.
• Identify system abnormalities, batch failures, and alerts, and report them to the respective owner teams for resolution.
• Execute batch actions and operational procedures to maintain system stability and job continuity.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, z/OS upgrades, CPU refresh cycles, and monthly scheduled maintenance (Therapeutic IPLs).
• Provide training and supervision to new team members, ensuring smooth onboarding and operational readiness during critical activities.
• Work with enterprise monitoring and ticketing tools such as SRA Omnibus, ServiceNow, SM9, HPE, Cisco, and BMC consoles.
• Maintain operational documentation, and follow incident management processes.
