• Transmission congestion study and network upgrade cost assessment
• DFAX and Impact assessment of recently queued generators on potential renewable sites
• DPP and DISIS Basecase comparisons to access correctness of network upgrades and generators included and excluded
• RT and DAH power market pricing and congestion study

Responsibilities:

• Congestion and Curtailment Assessment for renewable developers within ERCOT
• Security Constrained Economic Dispatch study using PROMOD for future year LMP and Congestion
• Contingency Analysis and Injection Study using TARA (Powergem) power flow tool
• Study of historical LMP data using Vyntex (Velocity Suite) for Congestion and Curtailment
• Greenfield siting study for renewable developers to evaluate/rank nodes in ERCOT

Clients: PJM, MISO, SPP and other ISOs of Eastern Interconnection

Projects: Interchange Distribution Calculation (IDC) and Parallel Flow Visualization (PFV)

Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter Expert in Power Systems – Verification of IDC calculations (TDF - TLR based) and Internal & Release testing of IDC and PFV
• Preparation of IDC and PFV calculation related test plans.
• Investigation of client reported issues on IDC and PFV
• Understanding client requirements and effectively conveying the power system aspects to the developers
• Understanding the US Power Market and interfacing between client real time data portal and web-applications developed by OATI

Clients: ONGC, IOCL and Mongolia Oil Refining Agency

Responsibilities:

• Sizing of electrical equipment like transformers, solar panels, UPS, etc
• Cable sizing and voltage drop calculations
• Review of load flow and short circuit studies in ETAP
• Study of client tender documents and raising of technical queries. Technical Bid Evaluation of vendor offers and TQ preparation.
• Preparation/Review of Material Requisition for sub-station tagged items like transformers, switchgears, UPS and Electrical bulk MTO
• Preparation/Review of electrical drawings and layouts (e.g. Lighting layout, earthing and lightning layout)
• Aid in preparation and approval of Red Line Mark-Up and As Built project documents

Clients: Legal and General (UK based Insurance Company)

Responsibilities:

• Worked on Mainframe technology involving programming languages such as COBOL, SQL and JCL
• Involved in development cum maintenance of customer database and implementation on new alert features
