2. AMI and Snapshot Management: Created and managed Amazon Machine Images (AMI) and EBS snapshots for backup, replication, and recovery of EC2 instances.
3. Billing and Cost Optimization: Analyzed AWS billing reports and implemented best practices to reduce costs through instance rightsizing, reserved instances, and usage tracking.
4. Palo Alto Firewall (Non-Floating IPs): Worked with Palo Alto firewall integration on AWS, managing static/non-floating IP setups, and rule configurations for secure network traffic.
5. Instance Creation & VM Provisioning: Launched and configured EC2 instances and virtual machines, including OS setup, storage attachment, and user access configuration.
6. SFTP Configuration with Secrets Manager: Configured SFTP services using AWS Transfer Family, leveraging AWS Secrets Manager for secure credentials, and automated key rotation.
7. Security Group Configuration: Created and maintained security groups and NACLs to control inbound and outbound traffic to EC2 instances and other AWS resources.
8. Patching Activities: Performed routine OS-level patching for Windows and Linux servers using Systems Manager Patch Manager and third-party tools.
9. Performance Monitoring (CPU/Memory Alerts): Monitored EC2 instances using CloudWatch for CPU, memory, and disk usage; configured alarms for proactive resource management and alerting.
10. Site-to-Site Connectivity: Set up and maintained Site-to-Site VPN connections using AWS VPN or Direct Connect for secure and scalable hybrid cloud access.
11. Decommissioning Resources: Safely decommissioned AWS resources, including EC2 instances, volumes, and network configurations, following compliance and data retention policies.
