• Planning, scheduling, executing and monitoring of O&M with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, time over-runs to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervising and coordinating the toll collection, other O&M Activity, Operations policies and procedures.
• Lesion with NHAI, IE, Police and Local administrations.
• Communication with NHAI and IE for requirements and compliances.
• Resolving problems or disputes in the areas of personnel, customer service, office equipment maintenance, TMS hardware and software maintenance and building maintenance.
• Providing technical and administrative leadership to subordinate supervisors and through them to O&M operations.
• Scheduling work of subordinate personnel to ensure adequate coverage.
• Interviewing applicants for vacancies in the O&M; reviewing applicants and recommending selections.
• Coordinating toll facility operations with staff, senior management and other OTA divisions as required.

Assist Project Head in absence of Maintenance Manager for routine maintenance activity project, observations, and corrective action.

• Cleaning of (MCW, ROW, Median, ROB, MJB, MNB, VUP, Box Culvert, Road Furniture’s, expansion joint etc)
• Pothole fixing,
• Trimming and watering of Median & Avenue plants,
• Repairing of earthen shoulders, slopes, chute drains, Stripping, Edge Breaking, Rutting, Settlements, Depression etc.
• Check RFI & DPR

Toll Operations

• Ensure all collectable revenue is collected carefully and no revenue pilferages at toll plaza and identify the threats in various alternate routes and take corrective action to plug the same
• Ensure ETC reconciliation done on daily basis and settled all amount as per SVC audited amount
• Analyze the daily/weekly/monthly traffic/revenue reports and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and required checklists are followed in a proper manner
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent engineers, NHAI, local & district administration & representatives
• Submit weekly/Monthly Traffic & Revenue and MPR report to NHAI on time
• Prepares & submits the reports, analysis and forecasts of toll revenue, traffic projections to Project Head and submits recommendations to maximize returns in accordance with approved policies & procedures
• Inspect the Plaza &Project Highway facilities regularly and ensure observations or rectifications are closely within SLA.

Route Operations

• Ensure that The Toll Plaza assets are protected against: - Accident, Fire, Internal abuse, External abuse, Unauthorized access.
• Ensure that Heavy and ODCs should not cross across the stretch with gross weight more than 100 tones with consignment, without obtaining approval of the Competent Authority.
• Ensure that the Project Highway should be encroachment free and safe passage to road users.
• Ensure that emergency services are provided within Max. 20 min to road user, In case of minor injury, first aid is provided, In case of major injury, Injured victim are moved to hospital immediately.
• Ensure that Fatal accident report should be submitted to the Concern Authority / Independent Engineer.
• Identify improvement areas during incident investigation.
• Ensure that all fault and damage reports are reported to concern department.
• In case of poor visibility (fog) then the public addressing system (VMS & PA) is to be used to guide traffic and users
• Verify of manpower availability and resource allocation, Damage/Fault Reporting, Shift documentation
• Check each shifts documentation of previous day as submitted by the Control Room Operator for, Completeness of documentation, Rectification of all errors, Analysis and action taken on extra ordinary data and exceptions, Closure of shift, User Assistance Record, Debriefing Reports, Action taken in event of accidents/damage.
• Get FIR copy of all fatal and property damage accidents from Police Station.
• Proper monitoring and maintenance of all the Patrol Vehicles, Ambulances, Tow Vehicle, etc.
• Ensue all employees are aware SOP and follow the same.
• Ensure that conducted monthly basis safety mock drills and training for all employees.

• Provide leadership and management to the toll collectors, lane assistants, Supervisor Cash and POS Operator under their direct control
• Supervise the shift toll collection function, organize, and control the duties of the toll collectors, lane assistants, Cashier, and security team
• Collect the overload penalty from overloaded vehicles and proper accountability of return from SWB
• Ensure all transactions are validated properly within defined timelines and all reportable incidents are recorded and responded to as required
• Manage any abnormal incidents to the best of their abilities and sound judgement
• Ensure shift documents are correctly filled during the shift and properly filed
• Perform regular checks the booth/Plaza Equipment's to seamless operation and report the faulty equipment to concern department for rectification on time
• Shift wise revenue reconciliation to be done on standard 'Cash Reconciliation or Shift Reconciliation Report' and submit the same to Plaza Manager on daily basis
• Support the toll plaza manager in all aspects of the toll operation.
