Sales Turnover

  • Making a significant contribution to the development of the whole state's business plan. Provide monthly sales action plan and MJP to manager, and, as per plan, do visit Master and Subsidiary Canteens to generate Purchase Order (PO), damage settlement, payment collection, monitor merchandising, etc. Successfully negotiate and close complex deals.

Territory Management

  • Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits based on previous year's sales data. Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve sales target. Set realistic, attainable sales objectives by account and product group, and by monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • In-depth understanding of customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
  • Responsible for maintaining/gaining market share in the territories handled, as per plans. Creatively plan for expansion of challenging territories and conversion of difficult accounts.
  • Have a good understanding of internal organization (BEL) resources, priorities, needs relating to the business operations, and achievement of sales plan. Has detailed knowledge of the sales process and expert selling skills to make effective sales calls, and to smooth out the current process.

Market Coverage

  • Plan town-wise coverage based on their population, profile, number of canteens, business potentials, etc.
  • Ensure proper planning of area coverage plans and MJP's, and their implementation for systematic coverage of the territory. Evaluate and modify the same at regular intervals, keeping in mind the business growth, outlet expansion, and required coverage frequency and cost effectiveness. Identify gaps in coverage and develop appropriate plans to plug those gaps. Drive implementation of coverage plan by all team members through communication, monitoring, and feedback.

Managing Competition

  • Understand all competitive companies and their products, their strengths, and weaknesses, and ensure that the team of one Channel partner and three In-Store Demonstrators do the same.
  • Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and assess their impact on our business.
  • Develop, in consultation with RSM and NSM, appropriate plans immediately to counter such activities and minimize the impact on our business.
  • Develop a culture within the team that fosters competitive spirit, and drives them to continuously gain share of canteen, share of shelf space etc.

Reporting/ Administration

  • Maintain contact with RSM and NSM on a regular basis. Monitor utilization of canteen spending and evaluate its effectiveness. Ensure that they are within budgets.
  • Meet all deadlines of reporting schedules to RSM, NSM, and ensure they are timely and accurate. Organize timely preparation, submission, and settlement of CP's claims, damage stocks, shortages, final settlement, payment collection, etc.
