Academic Projects

Retrospect :

In Diploma we made This project "RETROSPECT" is a robotic system designed for off-road navigation and environmental monitoring using its robust wheel system . It integrates multiple technologies to create a wireless, remotely controlled vehicle equipped with advanced features for exploration and surveillance. Developed for used in forests .

key components :

  • 4 Off-Road Wheels: Provide mobility and enable the robot to traverse rugged terrain.
  • L298N Motor Driver IC: Controls the motors for precise movement and steering.
  • AT89S51 Microcontroller: Acts as the brain of the robot, managing all operations and coordinating inputs/outputs.
  • 360° Night Vision Camera: Captures the surroundings in all directions, even in low-light or dark conditions, for real-time monitoring.
  • Bluetooth Module: Enables wireless communication and control via a Bluetooth-enabled device.

Electromagnetic Braking System:

In B.Tech we developed An electromagnetic braking system is a type of braking mechanism that uses electromagnetic force to slow down or stop a vehicle or machine without physical contact between parts. It is commonly used in trains, trams, EV vehicle and industrial machinery due to its reliability and reduced wear compared to traditional friction-based brakes.

key components :

  • Electromagnets: Generate a magnetic field when current passes through them.
  • Rotor or Disc: A 2mm thickness copper disc that moves with the wheels or shaft of the vehicle/machine.
  • Eddy Currents: Induced in the rotor when it moves through the magnetic field, generating opposing forces.
  • Control System: Regulates the magnetic field intensity for precise braking

Automatic pneumatic bumper braking system :

In B.Tech we developed  Automatic Pneumatic Bumper Braking System is a safety mechanism designed to prevent accidents and minimize the impact of collisions in vehicles. It integrates a pneumatic system with automatic control to detect obstacles and apply the brakes while deploying a protective bumper to absorb impact energy. Mostly used in Automotive Industry,Industrial machinery .

key components :

  • Pneumatic System: Includes a compressor, cylinder, and valves to operate the braking and bumper mechanisms.
  • Proximity Sensors: Detect obstacles in the vehicle's path and send signals to trigger the system.
  • Control Unit: Processes sensor inputs and activates the pneumatic system.
  • Bumper: A spring-loaded or energy-absorbing structure to reduce collision damage.
  • Braking System: Pneumatic brakes apply force to stop the vehicle quickly upon detection of an obstacle.
