2. Service Level Performance Drive achievement of key metrics such as: On-Time Dispatch (OTD) On-Time Arrival (OTA) Vehicle utilization Transit ageing Cost per shipment Network productivity
3. Team Management: Lead and mentor city managers, hub managers, and operations executives. Conduct regular reviews and performance discussions. Ensure adequate manpower planning and deployment.
4. Vendor and Transporter Management Manage relationships with transport vendors. Negotiate and optimize transportation capacity. Ensure vendor compliance with service and safety standards.
5. Capacity Planning Forecast shipment volumes. Plan vehicle requirements during peak and lean periods. Ensure sufficient capacity during sales events and festive seasons.
6. Cost Optimization Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs. Improve vehicle fill rates and route efficiency. Monitor budget adherence and operational expenses.
7. Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with: Central Linehaul Team Fulfillment Centers (FCs) Sortation Centers Last Mile teams Finance, HR, and Procurement teams Resolve escalations impacting network performance.
8. Process Improvement Implement process standardization across the cluster. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis. Introduce best practices to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
9. Compliance and Safety Ensure adherence to company policies, transport regulations, and safety norms. Monitor accident cases, claims, and vehicle documentation compliance.
10. Reporting and Analytics Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports. Analyze trends, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions. Present cluster performance reviews to senior leadership.
