  • Major Project Title: Design of an Axial Flow Turbocharger Using Finite Element Analysis Description:.
  • The project includes designing and modeling a turbocharger using Pro/Engineer.
  • In addition to the modeling of a turbocharger, different materials of the turbine blades were tested by Coupled Field analysis (Structural+ Thermal) using Ansys.
  • It was assessed during the project that the heat transfer rate was more for Nickel Alloy than Titanium alloy; the stresses were less for Titanium alloy than Nickel alloy; and also the weight of the turbocharger was higher using Nickel alloy.
