Sambasiva Rao Chittajallu

Former Board Of Directors, National Horticulture Board, SeniorAgribusiness Consultant
Hyderabad,TG

Summary

I am a passionate and vociferous supporter of using Horticulture as a means to create Rural wealth. With an aim to bring change to the facets of Rural wealth creation, I have opted to leave the State Agricultural Department and take up a place at State Bank of India.Through all my years at the bank, I surveyed the villages, gained rich experience of produce estimation, post harvest management, subsidy guidance, market research, financial credit operations to small and marginal farmers. My next stint at NHB(National Horticulture Board) has given me an opportunity to bring a reformation in people’s thinking of taking up agriculture as Agribusiness.

Horticulture has a multiplier effect. One small rural farmer can provide livelihood to 100 s of urban push cart sellers with his horticulture produce.
