• ISN Cost reduction of multifunction bracket(Bracket Silencer), multifunction bracket was the significant problem in Ashok Leyland Pantnagar unit contributing to the rejection cost as well as rework leading to the increase in ISN cost of chassis sub assembly., 106,777 p.a. cost saved by this project approved by finance department, Shortlisted in Plant Level Leadership Excellence Awards for Problem Solving (LEAPS) 2021 at Ashok Leyland.
• ISN Cost reduction of Power steering, Power steering was the significant problem in Ashok Leyland Pantnagar unit contributing to the rejection cost as well as rework leading to the increase in ISN cost of chassis sub assembly., 200000 p.a. cost saved by this project approved by finance department, Got appreciation from shop head, Customer satisfaction
• DRT(Direct to Road Test) improvement by reducing electrical related issue, Number of non DRT vehicle due to electrical issue in BSVI vehicles is very high as per July'20 to June'21 data which contributes 4.33% Non DRT vehicle roll out from line. The failed vehicles need to undergo rework, re-testing & Lead delay in OT to PTS., , Achieved 70% DRT improvement, Got appreciation from shop head & Plant head, Customer satisfaction
• Process improvement through eliminating NVA activity on NODO sub assembly, During NODO sub assembly we observed multiple handling of NODO which lead to increase in Non-value added(NVA) activity., Observation & root cause analysis of the project, Did line balancing & work balancing, Did trials and saved 1.5 min, Verification and validation of the project, Got appreciation from shop head.
• To improve Data set flashing efficacy, Flashing at Chassis line of Ashok Leyland Pantnagar chassis shop is one of the critical problem. This results in DRT loss & OT to RTP loss & also increase rework time. The target is to improve flashing efficacy is 90%.,, Action taken to eliminate the problem, Verified and Validated the project, Standardized the project by updating relevant documents, Achieved 100% flashing efficacy, Got appreciation from shop head & Plant head.
