· Providing operational and administrative support to the projects and zonal team being the zonal head, ensuring the organization is well represented in state level, district level forums of NGOs and Government Bodies.

· Providing leadership at the state level on Strategic Alliances for Resource Acquisition, Scale & Influence.

· Providing counseling, motivation to staff; build relationship with communities, and review effectiveness of the interventions to promote innovation during the project visits.

· Providing regular feedback based on field experience towards shaping the national strategy. Ensure that the project designs and programme annual operating plans are in alignment with partnership & with the national strategy. Organize periodical coordination meetings among Technical, Design Monitoring Evaluation & cross-functional teams.

· Providing strategic leadership to a zonal team of 180+ personnel, with a budget utilization of over 5 million USD in a year, through various child development programmes.

· Provided professional support to the Project staff team in executing the Design, Monitoring and Evaluation functions to improve their professional capacity in implementing programmes that would serve the poor more effectively and efficiently. Technical support and strategic direction as per the organizational requirement to the projects during the preparation of Annual operating Plan.

· Approved the project proposals and reviewed the Annual reports and semi-annual reports ensuring the quality of the programme implementation as per the Project design and strengthening the other components in the Programme/ Project in alignment with Organizational Standards.

· Contributed and facilitated the yearly budgeting process of the projects, including facilitation of midterm /transition evaluations of the Projects in a participatory way.

· Visited the projects on a regular basis to provide motivation to the staff team and ensure effectiveness of the interventions as per design and objectives.

· Prepared concept paper, proposals and budget for various projects based on the context of the project areas for corporate and other funding.

• Established milestones and objectives based on input from functional areas and stakeholders.

· Provided leadership in planning and monitoring of micro and macro level Programmes in the sectors of health (especially on women and children), water & sanitation, education, livelihood and child protection.

· Capacity building of the project staffs & overall administration of the project.

· Document the process involved in planning and implementation of any program and its result/ impact (both positive and negative) for its quality improvement.

· Involved in program planning and implementation of programs under the Orissa Relief and Rehabilitation project in the disaster stricken areas of Erasama block after the Super cyclone in 1999 and floods in 2001.

· Facilitated the feasibility study of proposed programs before implementation and regularly follow up progress of the programs implemented

· Surveyed the Environmental Impact Assessment for :

(a) Road Expansion Projects (NH-5) of the National Highway Authority of India.

(b) Small Hydro-power projects.

· Prepared reports for the Environmental Screening of Various development Packages undertaken by the Government of Orissa, funded by World Bank in the Super Cyclone affected areas of Orissa.

· Evaluated the potential of fly-ash :

(a) as an amending agent.

(b) in agricultural production.

(c) in studying the chemical properties of soil.

· Examined the physical and chemical properties of fly-ash as a by-product of coal based power plants.

· Researched fly-ash as an environmental pollutant.

• Took leadership in campaign to create awareness among the residents of Bhubaneswar city to minimize the amount of solid waste generated by households.
• Supervised :

(a) the collection of wastes.

(b) the segregation of wastes into biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes.

(c) the recycling of non-biodegradable wastes.

(d) the decomposition of biodegradable wastes into compost.

• Concluded that low cost management plans are efficient than high cost technologies to curb the problem.

• University assisted work on the assessment of water quality of the Mandilia stream.

1. Selected a range of parameters to test water samples whether they confirmed to the standards of WHO, ICMR and ISI.

2. Produced a report entitled "Water quality of a perennial stream 'Mandilia' passing through Hirakud and Sub-urban areas of Sambalpur town."
