A freshly brewed graduate with knack of making stuff happen joins the world of madness (read as advertising) on his 22nd. While there were a lot of ideas popping in my head, I couldn’t resist owning up the advertising duties for a brand that I had been in love with since childhood. In the process of chasing creative excellence, I realized my love for making brands matter had taken over what I'd originally signed up for. I knew this weird infectious energy had to be translated into some good work as I went along making deeper relationships with different people and brands. I’m a firm believer of treating a brand as my own as it helps me have a better perspective. Also because when it’s a personal affair, you tend drown yourself into it and give it all. I’m told to have an eye to address the elephant in the room and often have a perspective that most people don’t. Another personal mandate to me is driving my relationships, internal or external, and keeping them the healthiest because the larger your team, the more noise you can create in the brand world. This IQ-EQ magnetism attracts like minded people towards me which has always resulted in great work. I have a certain dynamism towards the work I churn out and don’t let the work stop at sunset – simply because we think of the best ideas, only to change them at last minute with the finest ones. It’s immensely satisfying to always be in the middle of the battlefield and take charge. It not only has always paid off in my brands’ growth but has also lead to an expeditious one for me. Handling major campaigns Google | Pernod Ricard | Nestle and picked to help in the strategy development of these brands were the major highlights of last year. All of this has helped me keep my enthusiasm up while I transformed from a freshly brewed to a mature professional – retaining the fun as no great brands are made without it.
The experience at Lowe has been rather wholesome. The horizon was always wider than operations & executions across mediums. A diverse mix of brands had me absolutely consumed with understanding of different categories and markets, deep diving into data and strategy management - under the most amazing leadership. The key intent built in was to think beyond just a campaign & treating the brand as a personal affair.
